Trade Copier Comparison

CrossTrade vs Tradecopia: Coverage or Depth

Tradecopia connects to more platforms than we do. CrossTrade includes server-side Tradovate copying in Pro at $49/month. Both support TradingView webhooks; Tradecopia lists that feature on its hosted plans. Compare your broker connections, copy modes and hosting cost.

Why CrossTrade wins

Your accounts are on NinjaTrader 8 or Tradovate, and you want cloud Tradovate copying, TradingView webhook automation and REST access in Pro, with MCP on Elite. Choose Signal, Execution or Order (beta) according to where your trades start and whether followers need resting brackets.

Choose Tradecopia if

You need Rithmic or TopstepX connections, or prefer a macOS desktop app. Tradecopia also offers shared and dedicated hosted tiers, per-account risk controls and a prop-firm consistency calculator.

What has to stay running

Tradecopia's two deployment models

Pro is a desktop application for Windows and macOS. Pro+ Lite and Pro+ move the copying service to shared or dedicated hosted infrastructure with browser access. Compare those hosted prices if you need copying to continue with your own computer off. TradingView strategy webhooks are also listed on the hosted tiers.

CrossTrade's split

The CrossTrade Tradovate trade copier runs against the broker's API, so manual trades, TradingView-native orders and CrossTrade webhook commands can copy without local software. CrossTrade's separate NT8 copier requires NinjaTrader running and connected with the add-on installed.

For Tradovate, use Signal for CrossTrade commands, Execution for fills, or Order (beta) for working orders. Same-environment pairs under one login are validated; cross-login and cross-environment pairs remain under validation. The setup guide covers those limits and follower protection.

Prop Accounts

Where both vendors agree

A platform connection and a firm's permission to copy are separate questions. Check the firm's current account and copying rules alongside either vendor's supported-platform list.

What each product does offer is tooling. Tradecopia publishes a consistency calculator with per-firm presets, which CrossTrade does not have. CrossTrade's Account Manager applies drawdown, profit, trading-window and economic-event rules inside the same service that receives the signal and runs the copier. Those solve different halves of the problem, and if the consistency rule is what keeps failing your evaluations, weigh that accordingly.

Run both against one mapping

The comparison that matters is your own account map, rebuilt in simulation, tested through a rejected order and a reconnect. Seven days is enough.

Coverage and deployment

Start with the account routes that must work

Broad platform support and deep integration with one desktop are different buying priorities. Decide which matters for your actual account list before comparing a subscription price.

Check platform-specific requirements

Tradecopia publishes several deployment choices. CrossTrade offers direct Tradovate cloud copying and NT8 desktop copying. Check what must remain online for each proposed route, including any locally hosted application.

Validate protection per follower

Test the order mode that creates resting stops and targets when that is required. An execution-copying follower may instead exit when a leader fill is copied. Verify the broker’s actual working orders rather than assuming a copied entry includes protection.

Match the surrounding workflow

If you also need TradingView webhooks, account monitors, API access or journaling, compare the combined plan against those requirements. Preserve honest limits: a supported Tradovate or NT8 route is not support for every platform a competitor lists.
