Trade Copier Comparison

CrossTrade vs Replikanto

One is a trade copier. The other is a full automation platform that includes one.

Need a NinjaTrader 8 copier inside a broader automation workflow? See how the CrossTrade Trade Copier handles follower-account configuration, copy modes, and TradingView-to-source-account workflows.

Why CrossTrade wins

You want the copier bundled with TradingView webhooks, risk monitors, a journal, charts, and an API, on NT8 and Tradovate, for one flat $49/mo. Prop traders get risk-bound copying Replikanto can't do.

Consider Replikanto only if

You need order-level copying between NT8 instances on different machines, or you only ever want a copier and prefer a one-time license over a subscription.

The long-term math Replikanto's lifetime license runs up to $399, and cross-machine copying adds remote credits ($15 and up) on top. At CrossTrade Pro's $49/mo, the license alone equals about eight months, and at the end of it Replikanto is still just a copier. Pro includes the copier plus webhooks, the risk suite, the journal, live charts, and the REST API. NT8 only? Replikanto has no answer for Tradovate at all.

The Clear Choice

Why CrossTrade is the stronger overall value

CrossTrade is the clear choice when:

  • You automate anything from TradingView. Replikanto has no webhook story at all
  • You trade Tradovate or plan to. Replikanto is NT8-only; CrossTrade routes Tradovate in the cloud with ATM templates
  • You run prop firm accounts and want copying bound to risk limits, not reacting after the damage
  • You want config that survives NT8 crashes without manual reconfiguration
  • You'd rather pay $49/mo for nine tools than $399 plus credits for one

Consider Replikanto only when:

  • You need order-level copying between NT8 machines (Network or Remote mode)
  • You need specific copy methods like Pre-Allocation or Net Liquidation
  • You only ever want a copier and prefer a one-time license, accepting the credits for remote use
  • You value the largest user base and longest track record in the NT8 community
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the one-time Replikanto license cheaper long-term?

Run the numbers. A Replikanto lifetime license runs up to $399, and copying between machines needs remote credits on top ($15 and up). CrossTrade Pro is $49/mo, so the license alone equals about eight months of Pro. The difference is what you own at the end: Replikanto is a copier, full stop. Pro is the copier plus TradingView webhooks, the Account Manager risk suite, the trade journal, live charts, and the REST API. If copying is genuinely the only thing you will ever need, the one-time license can win after year one. Most automated traders need more than copying.

Does Replikanto do TradingView webhooks or Tradovate?

No to both. Replikanto is a trade copier that runs inside NinjaTrader 8. There is no webhook automation, and there is no standalone Tradovate support. CrossTrade automates TradingView to both NT8 and Tradovate in the cloud, including saved ATM bracket templates on Tradovate that no other platform we know of offers, and its copier is one bundled feature among many.

Is CrossTrade's copier as fast as Replikanto?

Both execute locally inside NT8 once an order fires, so raw replication latency is comparable (low single-digit milliseconds). CrossTrade's Auto-Sync runs every 3 seconds in the background; Replikanto's Follower Guard is reactive. The architectural difference matters more for reliability than raw speed.

Why does CrossTrade run config in the cloud instead of inside NT8?

Two reasons. First, your copier config persists across NT8 crashes; when you restart NT8, your settings are still there. Second, the sync logic doesn't compete with NinjaTrader for CPU during heavy market activity. Replikanto's in-process architecture is simpler but couples copier health to NT8 health.

Does Replikanto support cross-machine copying?

Yes. Replikanto's Network Mode and Remote Mode copy between NT8 instances on different machines, with remote credits as an ongoing cost. CrossTrade's same-machine copier does not span machines, but Elite's Signal Share broadcasts trade signals to recipient accounts on other machines over a 5ms Chicago relay. For order-level cross-machine sync, Replikanto still wins; for multi-machine signal distribution, CrossTrade covers it without credits.

What is Tandem Mode and does Replikanto have it?

Tandem Mode binds CrossTrade's Trade Copier to your Account Manager risk parameters. If your daily loss limit triggers, copying stops immediately on every linked follower. Replikanto's Follower Guard is reactive; it closes positions after detecting issues, but doesn't tie copying to a continuous risk monitoring system. Tandem Mode is preventive, and Replikanto has no risk suite to bind to.

Can I run Replikanto and CrossTrade together?

Technically yes, but it's redundant. Both copiers operate on the same NT8 account events. If you're testing CrossTrade's copier, disable Replikanto first to avoid double-copying.

Which has better support?

Replikanto has a larger community on NinjaTrader forums and Discord. CrossTrade has a Discord with the founders responding directly, plus live chat for paid plans. Different vibes. Replikanto is community-driven, CrossTrade is more direct-from-builder.

Is CrossTrade's copier reliable enough to leave running unattended?

It's designed to be. Auto-Sync runs every 3 seconds, Stealth Mode preserves order mappings across restarts, and Tandem Mode stops copying when risk parameters trigger. That said, no copier is flawless and we recommend monitoring during live use, especially for the first few sessions.

Why buy a copier when the platform includes one?

Free 7-day trial with full Pro features and no credit card. Copier, webhooks, risk suite, journal, charts, and API, all in one subscription.
