How do the three tiers work?
Every affiliate starts at Starter, which pays 10% with a 2-year commission window. At 10 referrals you are automatically promoted to Active, which pays 15% with a 3-year window. At 25 referrals you can apply for Partner, which pays 20% with lifetime commissions and adds your own promo code.
What does the commission window mean?
The window is how long you keep earning on a referral’s renewals after their first purchase. Starter runs 2 years per referral and Active runs 3 years. Once the window expires, commissions on that referral stop even if they stay subscribed. Partner affiliates have no expiration.
How are my referrals tracked?
Through your referral link. A referral qualifies if they have never held a CrossTrade account and arrive through your link. Partner promo codes discount the purchase at checkout, but a promo code on its own does not attribute the sale; the customer still has to originate from your link.
How and when do I get paid?
Commissions are paid via PayPal on the 15th of each month for commissions earned during the previous calendar month, subject to a $50 minimum threshold. A W-9 (U.S.) or W-8BEN (non-U.S.) must be on file before your first payout is released.
What is CrossTrade Match?
Instead of taking a cash payout, you can elect CrossTrade Match and apply your unpaid balance to your own subscription at twice its cash value. It covers annual plans at full list price for up to one year, cash payouts pause while it is elected, and you can reverse it any time before the credit is applied.
What happens if a referral refunds or cancels?
A refund or chargeback reverses the matching commission, and if it was already paid out the reversal comes off future payouts. If a referred subscriber cancels, attribution ends immediately and does not resume if they later reactivate. Commissions already earned and paid before the cancellation are not affected.
Can I use my own link to discount my own subscription?
No. Self-referral to obtain a discounted rate on your own subscription is prohibited and is grounds for removal from the program and forfeiture of unpaid commissions. CrossTrade Match is the supported way to put your earnings toward your own plan.
